Provisioning Made Easy

You can now integrate your OVD Session Manager directly with your choice of virtualization platform. This can be on-premises, cloud-based or hybrid utilizing both simple hypervisors as well as cloud providers.

This new functionality allows you to deploy both shared and dedicated OVD Application Server instances that run either Windows 10/11, Windows Server, or a Linux Server based operating system (Ubuntu 22.04/RHEL8) from a gold master template or multiple templates curated for different use cases.

You can spin up and spin down on demand and also have the ability to set a working hours schedule where required.

Kompatibel

OVD remains fully platform and hypervisor agnostic - thats why the underlying technology used for provisioning is Terraform. So, as long as the platform you wish to integrate has a Terraform Provider, we can support it!*

Efficient

OVD creates linked clones, on demand, utilising snapshot technology at the platform level. All changes are written to a delta disk allowing for larger environments with lower storage consumption.

Scalable

Easily adjust resources to match demand. With dynamic deployment of application servers and on-demand scaling, it accommodates both small and large workloads effortlessly.

*See https://registry.terraform.io/browse/providers to check for compatibility. Additional providers can be added dynamically on request from Inuvika Support.

Other New Features

Monitoring

A new monitoring feature lets you connect the OVD Administration Console to InfluxDB-compatible platforms like Grafana or log to a file on the OVD Session Manager for ingestion by your chosen monitoring platform.

Admin Console Improvements

The Administration Console now includes cosmetic and functional updates, with a theme switcher supporting Dark Mode that follows system preferences. Terminology and setting descriptions have been enhanced for easier navigation.

Software License Enforcement

The Software Licensing functionality in OVD has been updated to enforce application license limits, ensuring compliance with licensing policies. This change also benefits MSP/CSP partners by preventing license limit breaches for applications delivered through their DaaS platforms.
