Toronto, Canada – OVD Enterprise version 2.6 is now available for download. OVD Enterprise is Inuvika’s virtualized application delivery solution that accelerates the move to the cloud. It delivers virtualized Windows and Linux applications and desktops from private or public clouds to any device, without the cost and complexity of VDI solutions.
Version 2.6 builds on the success of OVD 2.5 by delivering a better user experience with enhanced audio recording and playback across all native client devices (including Chromebook) and HTML5 Web browsers. OVD 2.6 also adds new user data management capabilities that help organizations comply with the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) laws enacted by the European Union in 2018.
Kevin Gallagher, CEO of Inuvika said: “Version 2.6 is an important release point for OVD. We have added new features and backend improvements that enhance security, facilitate regulatory compliance, and provide new multimedia capabilities for our end users. 2.6 unifies audio recording across all of our desktop and mobile client devices and extends that support to Linux applications and desktops. Users now enjoy a consistent audio recording and playback experience regardless of which mix of apps or desktop environments they use.
OVD 2.6 also addresses the ever-growing regulatory concerns related to user data privacy. We are facilitating compliance with GDPR by giving our customers the tools to report, manage and delete user data in accordance with laws and regulations. We believe this is an important issue facing many organizations today and expect to continue adding new capabilities that let our customers address it.”
